Lloyd Putter – President

Lloyd Putter founded 2001 Real Estate in 1975 in Manhattan when he noticed that the NYC retail Real Estate market was lacking in organized professional services. At this time he also concluded that the NYC metropolitan retail landscape was still under-stored. As Real Estate associates joined 2001 Real Estate, they were asked to focus on the special needs of retail and restaurant tenants, as well as developers and landlords. Numerous leases were consummated throughout Manhattan, the surrounding boroughs and nearby suburbs. 2001 Real Estate’s retailer clients ranged in their size needs from 1000 square foot boutique shops on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan to 100,000 square foot Home Depots in Northern New Jersey.  2001 Real Estate is especially proud of the multiple new store locations that it produced for clients such as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Elaine Powers Figure Salons, Living Well Lady, Fayva Shoes and Staples. In 1987, 2001 Real Estate opened a second office on the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge. From this vantage point, the suburban activity of the company grew. Lloyd Putter has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 1977, and he has introduced many of the current and former 2001 associates to the ICSC.  The company has also become a principal in the development of retail properties and Shopping Centers. Additionally, Lloyd Putter has participated in the development of several retail businesses as a principal, including the Love Store chain of health & Beauty Aid stores of Manhattan and Sportsworld Indoor Amusement Park in Paramus, NJ. Mr. Putter is a graduate of New York University School of Commerce where he majored in Real Estate. Mr. Putter was the president of the Rho Epsilon Real Estate Fraternity and Phi Epsilon Pi , a national fraternity. In 2004 Lloyd Putter served as the Chairman of the 100th Anniversary reunion for Phi Epsilon Pi National Fraternity. Mr. Putter serves on the Advisory Board of Lakeland Bank of New Jersey.  He resides with his wife in New York City.
